Iridology Charts
In iridology, an alternative medicine practice, the iris is examined for
patterns, colors and other aspects, which are interpreted into details of a
patient’s systemic health. Iridology practitioners use their observations to
consult iridology charts where the iris is broken down into multiple zones that
represent specific parts of a human body.
The iridology chart has been prepared after several years of thousands of
studies on eyes. The pioneer of iridology in the United States was Dr. Bernard
Jensen (1908-2001). He has been credited with the creation of the most
comprehensive iris charts that illustrate the location of the organs as
reflected in the iris of the eye.
Like a map, the chart indicates the position of organs and tissues in the
body. The topography of the map is very accurate in giving guidance over its
surface. The chart identifies every organ with the important organs being
outlined to ensure ease of location.
In the iridology charts, the iris has been divided into multiple zones for
each corresponding part of body. Each chart may vary in specifics but a broad
pattern is followed by all. The left eye is considered to represent the left
part of human body and the right eye for the right part. The top of the eye maps
the upper human body consisting of brain, face, neck, chest and heart.
The center of the eye is linked the organs of digestive system. The other
organs have their representation in concentric spherical zones going outward
towards the edge of iris. Bottom of eye represents legs and the lower half of
the body, while paired organs like kidneys have been mapped to irises of both
eyes.
The iris chart enables tissue conditions to be noted in relation to the whole
individual making it possible for the state of the entire body to be seen at
once.
